Howard Wiesmann
June 22, 1930-Jan. 17, 2010
Funeral services for Howard G. Wiesmann, 79, of Bear Branch will be at
11 a.m. Thrsday, Jan 21 at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay
with burial in the Olive Branch Cemetery. Visitation was set for 4-8
p.m. on Wednesday.
Mr. Wiesmann passed away Sunday, Jan. 17 at Dearborn Courity Hospital.
He was born June 22,1930 in Hamilton County, Ohio, the son of Jacob J. &
Eleanor Catherlne (Henn) Wiesmann.
He is survived by his wife; Velma L, Wiesmann of Dillsboro; 1 -son:
Eugene (Sherrie) Wiesmann of Vevay; 1 -daughter: Debbie (Dennis) Alford
of Fairview; 4-grandchildren, Cheryle Peelman, Christina Hildebrand,
Tonya Dreyer & Dustin Alford, 3- great-grandchildren: Jacey Peelman,
Alexis Dreyer & Nathan Hildebrand; 2- brothers Don (Charlotte) Wiesmann
of Burlington, Ky. and Glen Wiesmann of Florence, Ky.; 2-sisters:
Shirley (Alan) Marshall of Eugene, Oregon; Pam (Rich) AlIen of Logan,
Utah; 4 -sister- in-laws: Eileen Wiesmann of East Enterprise; Connie
Wiesmann of Greendale, Kathy Wiesmann of Milford Heights, Ohio and Diane
Wiesmann Schuck of Aurora ;several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jacob R., Kenneth
and Ronald H. Wiesmann and his sister- Angela Townsley.
He was raised in South CumminsviIle & College Hills in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He attended Roger Bacon High School & Hughes High School. Howard was
united in marriage on July 1, 1950, in Rising Sun to Velma L. Oatman and
to this union arrived a son a daughter to bless their home. Howard &
Velma had enjoyed over 59 years of marriage together. He co-owned A & W
Milling Inc., with Harry Althoff for 44 years at Bear Branch. He was
employed with the Cincinnati Mine Machinery & Tool Company from
1948-1954. He served as a Ohio County Councilman for Ohio County since
1969, He served on the Board of Director's of Vevay Deposit Bank in
Vevay from 1970-2001. He was a member of the Ohio County Soil & Water
Conservation. He served as a Deacon & was a faithful member of the Olive
Branch Baptist Church in Bear Branch. Howard was a founder of the Bear
Branch Volunteer Fire Department, where he served as a fireman,
secretary & treasurer from 1969-1995. Howard will be remembered for his
love of gardening, leadership & his service to his communities.
Memorials may be made in memory of Howard to the Olive Branch Baptist
Church, Community Foundation of Ohio County and the Community Foundation
of Switzerland County.

Robert Dean Kashman
Oct. 30, 1930- Jan. 10, 2010
A mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010 at the
St. Mary's Catholic Church, Aurora for Robert Dean Kashman, 79, who died
at home in Patriot on Jan. 16.
He was born on Oct. 23, 1930, in Indianapolis, the son of John and Ruth
(Dean) Kashman. He was the sixth child of 8; Iona Mabel, Kathryn
Frances, Rosalie Ann, Norma Jean, John Leroy, Robert Dean, William
Edward, and Nancy Lee.
0n Feb. 1, 1951, he joined the Indiana Air National Guard and was then
activated into the U.S. Air Force. He was stationed at Wright Patterson
Air Force Base and then at the 79th Air Base Squadron, Truax Field,
Madison, Wisconsin. He parted the service on September 8, 1952 as Airman
First Class, having served 3 years, 10 months, and 2 days. In 1959, he
moved to California where he was a US Mail Carrier for 24 years until he
retired on disability in 1982. Even though Bob remained single and never
had any children of his, own, he dedicated his life to acting as a
surrogate father to the children of Nancy, Mark Anthony and Larry Allen,
and grandchild Nathaniel Anthony. He is survived by sisters, Rosalie
Ellis and Nancy White, and by brother Bill Kashman and by many nephews
and nieces. Bob returned home to Indiana in November 2003 settling in
Patriot where, he once again enjoyed Indiana hospitality and country
living.
The family would like to thank Dearborn County Home Health and Hospice
for the wonderful care given to Robert and ask that any memorials made
be  given to them. The Markland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Richard Teuschler
Aug. 12, 1928-Jan.13, 2010
Mass of Christian burial for Richard Joseph Teuschler, 81, of Vevay were
held Saturday, Jan. 16 at the Most Sorrowful Mother of God Catholic
Church with Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in charge of arrangement.
He passed away Wednesday, Jan. 13 in Vevay.
The Korean War veteran is survived by his wife Claire; 6 daughters-
Linda (Ernie) Kitts of Vevay; Regina (Douglas Porter of Destin, Fla.;
Amy Davis of Tennessee; Mary (Randy) Ross of Strunk, Ky.; Beth Hudson of
Rutledge, Tenn.; Sarah (David) Stewart, of Ponca, Fla.; 1 son- Mark
(Caroline) Teuschler of Centerville; 10 grandchildren and 8
great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
