Roy Lee Ketenbrink Nov. 27, 1944 - Jan. 5, 2010 Funeral services for Roy Lee Ketenbrink, 65, of Bear Branch, were held Sunday, Jan. 10 at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home with military rites conducted by the honor guard of the Dillsboro American Legion Post #292. He died Tuesday, Jan. 5 at the Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg. We was a US Army veteran. He is survived by his wife: Donna Ruth Ketenbrink of Bear Branch; his sons: William Todd (Jeni) Ketenbrink of Bear Branch; Toby (Amy) Ketenbrink of Rising Sun; his daughter: Toni (Michael) Draper of Dillsboro; his step-son: Rick (Vanessa) Knigga of Bear Branch; two grandchildren, six step-grandchildren; his brothers: Earl Ketenbrink of Rising Sun; Paul Ketenbrink of Oakview, Calif.; his sisters: Opal Coates of Vevay; Vera Cutter of Madison; Helen Levell of Vevay; several nieces and nephews. Cecil Ray Bastin Sept. 21, 1925 - Jan. 4, 2010 Graveside services for Cecil Ray Bastin, age 84, of Florence, were held Friday, Jan. 8 at the Salyers Cemetery, near Yosemite, Ky. He died Monday, Jan. 4 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Florence, Ky. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, rising to the rank of Seaman First Class during World War II. For his service to his Country, he received the Point System, the American Theater Ribbon, the World War II Victory Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Medal with One Bronze Star. He is survived by his sons: Ray (Hilda) Bastin of Mt. Orab, Ohio; Randall (Christine) Bastin of Cincinnati; four grandchildren; 12-great-grandchildren and 1-great-great-grandson; his brothers: Norman Bastin of Liberty, Ky.; Robert Bastin of Apopka, Fla.; Russell Bastin of Casselberry, Fla.; Janis Bastin of Hustonville, Kentucky; his sisters: Marie Salyers of Austin, Ind.; Beaulah Spears of Yosemite, Ky.; Lillian Bryant of Yosemite, Ky.; several nieces and nephews. Leola Klemme May 20, 1918-Jan. 8, 2010 Graveside services for Leola Marie Klemme, 91, of Rising Sun, were held Tueday, Jan. 12 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville with Markland Funeral home in charge of arrangements. She passed away Friday, Jan. 8, at The Waters of Rising Sun.. She is survived by sister-in-law, Marceil Jeanes of Richmond; cousin Marilyn Acra of Milan; niece Joyce Borne of Brookville. Vivian Geraldine Vann July 3, 1939 - Jan. 8, 1910 Funeral services for Vivian Geraldine (Jones) Vann, 70, of East Enterprise, were held Tuesday, Jan. 12 at Haskell & Morrison Funeral home. She died Friday, Jan. 8 at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. She is survived by her sons: Bud (Debbie) Vann of East Enterprise; Roger Vann of Greensburg; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her sister: Wilma Simpson of St. Cloud, Fla.; several nieces and nephews. Randall McCartney Sept. 21, 1958 - Jan. 10, 2010 Funeral services for Randall “Randy” McCartney, 51, of Bennington, Ind., will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, at Haskell and Morrison Funeral Home, Vevay, with burial in Vevay Cemetery. Visitation is 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, at the funeral home. Mr. McCartney died Sunday, Jan. 10, at King’s Daughter’s Hospital, Madison. Randy entered life Sept. 21, 1958, in Batesville. He was raised in Aurora, a 1977 graduate of Aurora High School. He married Jan. 3, 1981, at Center Square Baptist Church. He was employed 21 years for Ticona Inc., Florence, Ky. He was a member of the Aurora Presbyterian Church, the Belle River Lodge No. 327 F&AM and a fairboard member of the Switzerland County 4-H. Randy loved farming, horses and his dog. He is survived by his wife, Teresa (Chandler) McCartney, Bennington, Ind.; two daughters, Danielle (Scott)Griffin, Vevay, and Jill (Steve) Harbert, East Enterprise; two grandchildren, Kellen and Ethan; two stepgrandchildren, Dilan and Dalton; parents, Bill and Ollie McCartney, Aurora; brother, Tim McCartney, Aurora; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fred and Laura Chandler, Fairview, and 15 nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the 4-H Endowment Fund, at the Community Foundation of Switzerland County or the American Cancer Society. Views: 700
